New house at Simbithi Eco-Estate

The house announces itself with a double-height entrance porch: two dressed-stone pillars carrying an open white timber truss, the front door and a gallery window stacked on the axis between them.

Behind the formal front, the plan loosens into deep timber-decked verandahs, shuttered doors and vaulted, boarded ceilings — every main room turned toward the rolling green of the estate and the sea beyond.
